After spotting a beautiful sculpture on a friend’s wall last weekend, I learned that the object in question was, in fact, a splint designed by Charles and Ray Eames for injured soldiers in 1943. This design was the first use of the Eameses’ famous molded plywood, which led to the famous recliner and lounge chair. SNOW DAYS
