TAPE, redux

Apparently, I’m not the only one crazy about Japanese washi masking tape: a special collaboration has resulted in tape large enough to use as giant wall decorations.

HAPPY TAPE: FILE UNDER ‘TEMPORARY DECOR’

Remember when we wrote about this discovery? The thrill was not cheap–nor has it died. Here’s a few examples of what you might choose to do with your Japanese paper tape while in temporary digs, or waiting for your art to come back from the framer:

Imperfection at Its Best

I love this book idea as well as its long title:
A Perfectly Kept House is the Sign of A Misspent Life: How to live creatively with collections, clutter, work, kids, pets, art, etc… and stop worrying about everything being perfectly in its place

I think the title tells us what the book is [...]

WEATHER

EARLY: THE MAC

As Steve Jobs steps down from Apple, it seems like a great moment to think about what Mac has meant for design, among other fields.
Here’s a great visual history of Mac’s first 31 years.

SUPPLIES

Thanks to Marie Myung Ok-Lee for bringing this blog post to our attention. What do you consider your lucky charms? With a particular mechanical pencil, I feel I can always write–endowed with a superpower I can’t find when I’m pencil-free. Apparently, I’m not alone. Read this!
