Already the blogosphere is debating whether these women received a fair shake or were victim, instead, to a patronizing critique by the Gray Lady. Grace Bonney at DesignSponge has a response.

We would be remiss not to mention that Domino Magazine will be closing its doors. The last issue features Zooey Deschanel’s abode. Her fabulously bright tights are a great part of the photos (they are look from london). We are still enjoying the Domino blog, and we will wait to hear what’s next from Deborah Needleman and crew (And this feels like as good a time as any to sneak in a few pics of Needleman’s home, featured in New York Magazine, in 2007). Thank you, Domino! If you are feeling especially nostalgic, you can pick up a copy of Domino: The Book of Decorating.

This might fit into many categories, but Abby Clawson over at Hi-and-Low has posted a few great entries on mail art. Of course, it’s quickly becoming a lost art:

LIT: A Year of Mornings

Here is a sneak peak at a book we are looking forward to holding, come September (you can pre-order now). In many ways this project inspired a lot of other daily photography and drawing projects in the blogosphere:

3191, A Year of Mornings began on January 1, 2007 as an almost daily photo conversation, in blog form, between two friends that live 3191 miles apart. It lasted the entire calendar year ending on December 31, 2007.The project is now being transformed into a book which will be out in the Fall, published by Princeton Architectural Press. In preparation for the book, A Year of Mornings is no longer available for online viewing.
